Every year in June we make the drive to southern Utah for 2 weeks on a houseboat at one of the most magical places in the United States, Lake Powell Utah. This is a trip we look forward to each year with great anticipation, a trip filled with high desert sun, red beach sand, red sandstone cliffs and crystal clear water. It's a brief escape, a time for intense water skiing, relaxing sunbathing and great friends.

Each spring excitement builds as the day for Powell gets closer. A key moment for the women is when they start shopping for swimwear. They look and look trying to find several swimsuits that will look great, function well and make them feel confident. When the swimsuits arrive, and they try them on, there is either disappointment and the search continues, or there is euphoria and a sense of excitement to get to Powell.

This is the spirit behind our mission. To provide top quality swimwear with styles that get you excited for your trip. Every suit on our site is selected with that in mind. What's in a Name?

Our ultimate goal is to create our own swimwear designs. Modern swimwear with a retro flare. In that spirit one of the partners, an airplane enthusiast, thought the WWII “Bombshell” theme with beautiful women painted on aircraft captured the spirit of what we were after. And thus “Bombshell Swimwear” was born!
